Dr. Fuzeng Ren joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology as an assistant professor in 2014. He received Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2011. There after, he worked as postdoctoral research associate in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). His research interests include：design novel ceramic and metallic materials for biomedical implants and explores the materials response to extreme environments.
