Assistant Professor of the School of Design at Southern University of Science and Technology. Her research focus is on the Design and Learning of Haptic Intelligence. She graduated from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics. In 2014, she graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a Doctoral degree in Mathematics and Physics. Dr. Wan's research has been at the intersection between applied mathematical tools and data-drive design technologies during the past decade. Dr. Wan has accumulated a rich range of research outcomes and technological translation in the field of soft interaction design, haptic sensing intelligence, and robot learning, with more than 20 papers published in top journals and conferences in robotics and artificial intelligence, including the Conference on Robot Learning (CoRL), IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters (IEEE RA-L), IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation (IEEE ICRA). She is now a member of the Design Society and IEEE.
