Biography
Haoran Zhu is currently an Assistant Professor at the College of Business, Southern University of Science and Technology. He received his PhD in accounting from the University of Hong Kong in 2022. His research focuses on information disclosure, ESG, financial analysts, auditing, and the intersection of accounting, finance, and labor. His work has been published in Contemporary Accounting Research, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Review of Accounting Studies, and Auditing: A Journal of Practice & Theory.

Hiring: Research Assistant (RA)
I am looking to hire dedicated full time RAs with some research experience and self-motivation to assist me with my research projects. The RA will work intensively on research projects throughout the employment period, primarily responsible for conducting data collecting, processing, and analyses.
Requirements:
1) Able to use statistical analysis tools (e.g., Stata, SAS, Python, or similar software) to conduct data processing and analyses;
2) Having experience in textual analysis or machine learning is a plus;
3) Education: with Bachelor’s degree and plan to apply for a PhD or current PhD students.
Benefits:
Monthly salary (starting from 7500 RMB) + basic social insurance, holiday allowance, meal allowance, etc.
Hiring: Postdoctoral Positions (two-year contract; full time)
I am looking to hire dedicated postdoc with independent research ability and self-motivation to work intensively with me on research projects throughout the employment period.
Requirements:
1) Proficiency in statistical analysis tools (e.g., Stata, SAS, Python, or similar software) to conduct data processing and analyses;
2) Having experience in textual analysis or machine learning is a plus;
3) Education: PhD degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics;
4) Good English writing and communication skill;
5) Candidates with published research papers in high-level domestic or international academic journals, or acceptance are preferred.
Benefits (please confirm with the research group for the latest policies):
1) Annual salary about 330,000 RMB: including research group compensation (about 100,000 RMB) + basic benefits (social insurance, housing subsidy of approximately 33,600 RMB/year, holiday allowance, meal allowance, etc.) + Guangdong Province subsidy (150,000 RMB/year pre-tax) + Shenzhen subsidy (60,000 RMB/year, after-tax);
2) Particularly outstanding postdoc can also apply for the President's Excellent Postdoctoral Fellowship (approximately 80,000 RMB/year);
3) The university provides each postdoctoral fellow with 50,000 RMB academic exchange funding every two years;
4) Can apply for 300,000 RMB research funding from Shenzhen municipal government after finishing the postdoc program;
5) Can participate as a coauthor in multiple research projects with the research group.
